Peter D. Hancock is the President and CEO of American International Group (AIG), the multinational insurance giant.

Prior to joining AIG in 2010, Hancock had spent 25 years in the financial services business, a career that included a 20-year tenure at  J.P. Morgan, where he not only established the Global Derivatives Group, and managed the Fixed Income and Global Credit portfolio, but also served as the firm’s CFO and Chief Risk Officer  .

Additionally, he Co-Founded and served as President of Integrated Finance Limited, an advisory firm specializing in strategic risk management, asset management, and innovative pension solutions. With his vast experience of business building, team management, risk management, capital markets, and finance positions, he quickly transitioned with from joining AIG as Executive Vice President in 2010, to assuming the role as President and Chief Executive Officer of AIG in 2014

Beyond his role as AIG CEO, Mr. Hancock is a member of the International Advisory Board of British American Business and a recipient of their 2015 Corporate Citizenship Award. He is also a William Pitt Fellow of Pembroke College, Cambridge. Mr. Hancock attended Oxford University, where he earned a  Bachelor of Arts degree in politics, philosophy, and economics.
